I really enjoy your podcasts - and loved your quote this week. I so agree with the comment. Leaders so often talk to me about getting people to do what they want them to do...you can't motivate someone else, they motivate themselves. What you can do is create a culture that motivates the person - I always find that if you can present your ideas in a way that answers "What is in it for me?" helps! Often leaders forget to sell the ideas to their team - saying I haven't got enough time - I would argue the time you waste dealing with issues later on because people don't understand fully the objective, how they can contribute value. Invest up front in dialogue then the motivation to move forward is much greater...well from a fellow podcaster keep up the great work.
